Inaugural AdSEARCH Study Program Launches in Rajbari District
The launching of the study 'Strengthening Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health Services, including Amenities and Diagnostics in Selected Upazila Health Complexes based on National Guidelines and Global Standards,' took place on 17 October 2023, at the Baliakandi Upazila Health Complex in Rajbari. Dr Md. Ibrahim Titon, Civil Surgeon of Rajbari, and Dr Moazzem Hossain Sarkar, Deputy Programme Manager (DPM) at the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), were among the distinguished guests. Dr Mohammad Muktadir Arefin, the Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer (UH&FPO) at Baliakandi UHC, also graced the event with his presence.
Following the launch program, AdMange study team by AdSEARCH organised a two-day training session for the field study team. This team included study nurses, record keepers, and field supervisors. The training focused on the questionnaire's content and its proper administration in the field, ensuring a thorough understanding of the coverage of selected healthcare services at the study site. Additionally, it guided the record keepers on accurately recording all necessary information in the antenatal care (ANC), delivery, and postnatal care (PNC) registers. The training delivered to the field study team highlights the crucial role of precise data collection and record-keeping in ensuring the success of the programme.
