AdSEARCH Technical Advisory Group Inaugural Meeting
The first Technical Advisory Group (TAG) meeting for AdSEARCH took place on 1 November 2023, at icddr,b. The primary objective of the meeting was consultation and advocacy.
The session began with an introductory presentation by Ahmed Ehsanur Rahman, Technical Coordinator of AdSEARCH, where he elucidated the rationale behind establishing the TAG. Dr Quamrun Nahar, Deputy Project Director of AdSEARCH, presented the project's aims, objectives, work packages, focus areas, and themes.
Throughout the meeting, comprehensive clarifications and periodic progress reports on various studies and initiatives within distinct work packages and components were presented. Additionally, the meeting highlighted AdSEARCH's achievements.
The attendees included a group of public health experts, high-ranking government officials, academics, and project personnel, including deputy directors and program managers from DGHS, DGFP, and MoWCA. The meeting concluded with the decision that Dr Sayeeba Akhter would serve as the Chair of the group.
