AdSEARCH jointly with the HR Management organised International Women’s Day 2024
AdSEARCH by icddr,b, jointly with the Human Resources (HR) Management organised the International Women’s Day 2024 at icddr,b Sasakawa Auditorium on 11 March 2024.
Dr Musharrof Hossain, Head of HR, commenced the programme with an opening statement and introduced the year’s theme: ‘Invest in Women: Honoring Women's Achievements’.
Eight outstanding women were honored on the occasion for their tireless contributions in various fields including nursing, development, research, and field health research workers.
Dr Tahmeed Ahmed, Executive Director of icddr,b, presented crests and extended congratulations to the women awardees for their outstanding contributions at the workplace. This year, Catherine Costa, Nursing Officer at Hospitals; Laila Farzana, Development Coordinator, OED; Dr Evana Akhtar, Assistant Scientist, NRD; Kulsum Khatun, Field Supervisor; Khadiza Akhter, Community Health Research Worker, HSPSD; Fatema Khaton, Research Investigator, IDD; Rajashree Chakraborty Tanni, Office Manager, OED were awarded.
Women employees from different communities shared their inspiring stories of overcoming struggles and achievements. The icddr,b center was beautifully adorned with festoons, banners, informational boards, and a pegboard where everyone expressed their commitments in writing.
