AdSEARCH Hosts Capacity Development Workshop on Thesis Writing and Data Analysis at BSMMU
A two-day long ‘Capacity Development Workshop on Thesis Writing and Data Analysis’ from 31 July to 1 August 2024 was organised at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) by AdSEARCH by icddr,b. 21 academicians, health professionals and students from BSMMU, Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), and the Bangladesh Institute of Research and Rehabilitation in Diabetes, Endocrine and Metabolic Disorders (BIRDEM) participated in the workshop.
The workshop was facilitated by the researchers from the Maternal and Child Health Division (MCHD) of icddr,b who led sessions on data analysis using SPSS, basic statistics, descriptive statistics, and regression analysis.
The workshop aimed to enhance participants' designing, conducting, analysing, and presenting research skills. This workshop focused on improving the ability of health professionals to effectively review literature, analyse data, interpret results, and communicate their findings in a structured and scientifically rigorous manner.
