Service Overview

AdSEARCH is providing SRHR services to the Key Populations(KPs) with whom workpackage 4 will be working in Dhaka and Jashore districts. These free SRHR services include treatment of STIs (both syndromic and etiological), referring the positive patients with HPV and HIV to appropriate health care service facilities. For this, we will develop official referral mechanisms and do the accompanied referral where necessary to ensure that they are treated. We will pay for their treatment costs and travel costs as well. We will distribute free condoms and lubricants to the study populations as part of their time involvement with the study team. We will do the behaviour change interventions with them so that they practice safer sex and other behaviours. In case of identified or expressed needs for SRHR problems, our first attempt will be to provide treatment by our own medical doctors, where not possible, effective referral will be ensured. We will also provide professional counselling services to the study participants by trained and skilled professional psychologists for psychosexual problems and other situations where counselling services will be required. For the rights components of SRHR, we will handle the situation and provide rights-based services through our own networks with rights-based organizations of both government and non-government, and individuals rights-based professionals in Dhaka and Jashore. For this provision of services, we will closely work with the service centres operated by the government and non-government organizations in Dhaka and Jashore. Therefore, we expect that from the study samples, who need various SRHR services, we will be able to provide good quality and professional services in free of charge.
