About 50% of slum-dwelling children are stunted: icddr,b

Although overall urban health indicators are better than those in rural areas, more than half of the families living in urban slums suffer from food insecurity. In addition, nearly 50 percent of children residing in these slums are stunted.

These findings have emerged from research conducted by the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b).
