Study Overview

This study aims to demonstrate the discursively elaborative scenarios of developing and testing a low-cost reusable thermal jacket for managing preterm or low-birth-weight (LBW) neonates in the clinical setting of Bangladesh. It will be operated through an extensive qualitative engagement to find out the diverse realities, barriers, and potentialities of implementing this thermoregulatory device in the structure of health facilities in Bangladesh. The study will be conducted among the stakeholders related to the neonates who are born in four hospitals, two of which are situated in Dhaka city and the other two district-level hospitals are in Laxmipur and Kushtia. Stakeholder engagement will follow four steps (identify, sensitise, involve, and engage) to reach out the voices and opinions of them in terms of making this device more effective and user-friendly. Furthermore, this study will collectively illustrate the structural functionalities of clinical and user settings of implementing this device that will help to get rid of unusual difficulties.
